New assessment from “International Council on Clean Transportation”

According to the assessment from “International Council on Clean Transportation”, using a medium size electric vehicle instead of the traditional petrol fuel vehicle can reduce the emission of green house gases (GHG), range from 37 to 69% in different geographical regions.

A “Global EV Outlook” report from International Energy Agency pointed out that the average emission of GHG from petrol fuel vehicle in 2018 was 200gCo2e/km, whereas from electric vehicle was 95gCo2e/km. A reduction of 105gCo2e of GHG for every kilometer travelled.

Since the beginning of operation, CHUP has charged up a total of 59,920 kWh for electric vehicles, which allowed them to travel up to 359,520 km. As 105gCo2e of GHG will be saved every Kilometer, a total of 37,749,600 gCo2e has been reduced up to 20 June 2024.
